Katrina Kaif too busy to promote 'New York' show

Katrina will be missing from the publicity campaign of Yash Raj’s New York starring John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh. This has nothing to do with a panga with the producers or even her co-star John. But this time it’s the good old reason of dates that’s come in the way.

If you remember, the publicity for the film had already begun and was gathering pace when the producer-exhibitor strike happened. John and Katrina had just about learned to smile effortlessly at each other in a public gathering when the plug was pulled on their act. Now Katrina doesn’t seem to have time for Act II according to our sources.

There are signs that the strike might end soon and there will be a rush for films to release. With big guns like Yash Raj clambering to find space at the marquee New York might be one of the first films to be released.

Thus another quick and instant publicity campaign has been planned by the banner but Katrina will be missing from it as she’ll be busy shooting for one of the several films on her platter. John who is also busy with shoots, has managed to get time out to promote the film. Although it’s technically a two-hero film, John will have to carry the film on his shoulders and if it is successful it might be termed as his solo hit. So he is going to give it his all to promote the film.
