Two guys not enough for Katrina in Dostana 2

We’ve all heard of ‘three men and a little lady’ but now get ready for ‘four men and a stunning heroine’ as Katrina Kaif has been signed as the star of the sequel to Dostana.

Not only will John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan romance Kat but will now have Arjun Rampal and Ritesh Deshmukh after her too!

Dostana 2 brings together the dream team of the original film in director, Tarun Mansukhani and producer Karan Johar. They have the perfect script and now the perfect girl to match the role.

Katrina has been traveling the globe recently, after spending her birthday in London; she then headed to Spain for a holiday. The actress is now in New York before she jets to Chicago to help celebrate Independence Day.

A source said, “Katrina was chosen to play the female lead after much deliberation.”

So what actually clinched it for Kat? Actually, it was YOU! Yes, that’s right, give yourselves some credit as the source went on to say: “they felt that Katrina’s ‘most hit’ status on the Internet makes it apt for her to play the role of the ‘most hit’ girl by the boys in Dostana 2.”

What can we say? We all love Katrina.

Katrina Kaif too busy to promote 'New York' show

Katrina will be missing from the publicity campaign of Yash Raj’s New York starring John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh. This has nothing to do with a panga with the producers or even her co-star John. But this time it’s the good old reason of dates that’s come in the way.

If you remember, the publicity for the film had already begun and was gathering pace when the producer-exhibitor strike happened. John and Katrina had just about learned to smile effortlessly at each other in a public gathering when the plug was pulled on their act. Now Katrina doesn’t seem to have time for Act II according to our sources.

There are signs that the strike might end soon and there will be a rush for films to release. With big guns like Yash Raj clambering to find space at the marquee New York might be one of the first films to be released.

Thus another quick and instant publicity campaign has been planned by the banner but Katrina will be missing from it as she’ll be busy shooting for one of the several films on her platter. John who is also busy with shoots, has managed to get time out to promote the film. Although it’s technically a two-hero film, John will have to carry the film on his shoulders and if it is successful it might be termed as his solo hit. So he is going to give it his all to promote the film.

Showstopper Katrina Kaif in awe of international rap sensation Akon

Showcasing her perfect dance moves in a white glitzy ensemble, Katrina Kaif’s electrifying performance at the IPL grand finale did perfect justice to the glory and hype surrounding the event. The stunner, who bought down the curtains to the country’s most raved about event in style, grooved with international rap sensation Akon and seems to be in awe of the singer.
Even as our desi men fight it out for Katrina’s attention, the lissome beauty was left mesmerized by the hip hop singer’s sassy act. Talking of her favourite show moments, Kat said, “We all love Akon’s music. He’s quiet and shy, but seemed really sweet. The crowd totally enjoyed our act. In fact, when we made a re-entry to bid goodbye, we kept dancing, and went on and on."

Talking about sharing the podium with Akon, Kat said, “It was great. The energy and the atmosphere in the stadium was infectious. We were all so excited. The organisers had told us that they wanted the closing ceremony to represent the spirit of the IPL. That’s why it wasn’t very Bollywood. It was more elegant, and it was all Shiamak’s idea. He said that there’s been enough dancing and that we should do something really different. Since Jai Ho! is an anthem of sorts today, we wanted the show to capture that spirit”.

As for her team, Royal Challengers, that lost the final to Deccan Chargers, the gorgeous lass stated that the team had come a long way from being the ‘underdogs in the first season, they made it to the final’.

Well, win or lose, this bombshell sure seems to have had a blast.

Sexy Kats talk in Hindi

It’s going to be fun to watch Katrina Kaif in Prakash Jha’s Rajniti. We hear, Katrina’s role in this movie has been inspired by Sonia Gandhi, while Ranbir Kapoor’s role seems to be inspired by Rajiv Gandhi. Now, if Kat is going to be a political personality, too, she obviously is required to deliver long speeches to crowds, and that’s going to pose a great challenge to the actress. For this, we are told, Kaif has been attending voice modulation classes. Let’s hope she can get rid of that English twang soon.

Katrina kaif is a cry girl

Well, if you think the only spoilt birthday party that Katrina Kaif has suffered is the one gone by which is infamous for the Salman Khan-Shahrukh Khan tussle, then wait. Because the pretty young woman has been a victim of a birthday gone wrong in her earlier years as well.

In the chat show with Farhan Akhtar, Katrina reveals that she had cried most in the year when she had just entered the industry with Boom.

”We had just completed shooting for the film and it was my birthday. Since I was a rank newcomer, I didn’t really have many friends or acquaintances. I was alone in the cabin and there was absolutely no one around. I would have cried most that day, I was feeling so lonely,” recollects Katrina.

She attributes her emotional trait to her zodiac sign being Cancer. ”Well, we are like that only. We can cry at any moment,” says Katrina. In fact she goes on to admit that she is a cry baby. ”I cry when I am happy or sad. In fact I also cry when I have nothing to cry,” quips Katrina.

In fact she also shares an interesting fact about her college days when she hadn’t been asked out for a date. Unbelievable, but true! Confirms Katrina, ”I don’t know why but it is indeed a fact. In fact even my friends from college too never asked me out.”
